"Your first mistake," the lieutenant commander said with a smirk, "was letting your boys mix it up with the Black Boots. Nobody messes with the Black Boots."

The captain, still trying to process the fact his (female) challenger had obeyed the rules of the Agni Kai to the letter, could only gape.

The smirk became downright feral. "But your biggest mistake was messing with the Black Boots when I'm XO of the Hui Jian. That's three insults right there, and I'm going to make you pay for each of them, Captain."

_{I've kept a few comic scribbles for OCs I made for -Danger, Deceit-, but due to a lot of things, never could get them fully realized. This is a panel from a comic based on a story idea my my naval officer OC, Lt Cmdr Zhì of Clan Shé referred to in this OC meme journal entry way back. The marines of her ship, the Hui Jian got into a tussle with some Fire Army guys during a port call. As executive officer of the ship, she was trying to sort things out when the captain of the company decided to make things personal - hilarity ensued. I have a couple more panels of the actiony parts, which I might post to scraps.}
