Series: Avatar: The Last Airbender

If the Freedom Fighters had a soundtrack... it'd have a lot of Flogging Molly songs. :nod: Especially after Lake Laogai, I found myself wanted to do a series dedicated not only to Jet, Smellerbee, and Longshot, but the Freedom Fighters as a whole - so consider this the kickoff!

The particular song that inspired this is "Rebels of the Sacred Heart", which ought to explain their tattoos as well as their clothes. I went with a turn-of-the-century Irish theme, mostly cuz I wanted Jet to look extra smexy, see Smellerbee in a different outfit, and give Longshot a fedora (yes, I KNOW that last bit isn't Irish, but smeg it - I want Longshot in a fedora!)

P.S. - My little sister/muse got me hooked on the band - o'course, how could anyone not love angry Irish punk? *cough*IrishPride!*cough, cough!*

Longshot gave me the hardest time... for awhile, I drew him as a Catholic priest, but thought that was pushing it... ^^;

I really like how Smellerbee turned out. :boogie:

*nabs Longshot's hat and prances off with it* Hats are all teh sex. I adore hats--especially fedoras. Longshot's really not Longshot without some sort of hat. Irish or not, the fedora was definitely the way to go (he'd have looked weird in a bowler or something).

Smellerbee's vest is fab! And her wrinkly shirt is awesome. I can see why you're so proud of how she turned out. I would be too. If Jet and Longshot weren't simply exuding sex appeal all the time--and most definitely to a greater degree in those clothes--Bee would just steal the show out from under their noses! ^_^

What are their tattoo's from? And what do all the arm bands say?

I'm going to have to hunt down this song tomorrow ^_^

The tattoo is my own design, based on elements of celtic and catholic themes - the trefoil celtic knot (symbolizing the harmony of sky, sea, and earth - or the Trinity, if you prefer :D) and the Sacred Heart of Christ (surmounted by flame). I'm huge into symbollism, if you hadn't guessed, especially when it concerns my heritage. :D

Methinks Smellerbee is sexy. *:hug: Smellerbee* :heart:

Smellerbee: OMFG, I HAVE FANGIRLS!!!!!!!! :fear:

Jet: *nosebleed* Longshot, get the camera!

That's one awesome picture. It would so work as the cover for a soundtrack. My favourite on it is Jet though, he looks absolutely awesome, although Longshot comes in second with the hat and the pose, hihihhi.
