"I don't know who you are behind that mask," she said tersely, bending a flail of water from the canteen she carried as her sole weapon, "but right now, I've got your back."
The Blue Spirit nodded imperceptively, and the battle began anew...
Kyaaaaa~ I tell myself I hate cliches, and then I go and do this. *headdesk* Matching Katara and the Blue Spirit (Zuko) is a favorite hobby of Zutara shippers, and honestly, it's a seductive one. I wanted to do an action shot of the couple, which is why this image took freakin' forever. I. Hate. SWORDS!!!
No, I don't - I just hate drawing them, especially at weird angles. (~_~) Zuko's are especially hard since they're so curvy. And his mask was a complete biotch, since I was working with one little head-on screen shot. *shudders*
Katara's water flail was fun, once I figured it out.
If you're wondering why the three flames are different (and even if you aren't), it's just me indulging in a little obsessiveness. See, I figure since bending in the Avatarverse depends as much on a person's spirit as well as talent, why shouldn't individual flames be different, according to the person who produces them? (o_0)
You can probably tell I've put too much thought into this...

Hehehehe, this pairing is starting to grow on me. I dunno why, they're just really awesome together, even though in the series they don't get along too well. Nice work with this! Gotta love blue. ^^ *fav color*

Lol now the Blue SpiritXKatara is a cliche. It wasn't so much so before the second season started when I did my fanart but your pwns mine in so many ways. I love your style. You make it look like a real painting and don't feel ashamed about paying obsessive attention to detail. Believe me I do that too. I look at many screenshots and actually use the dopper tool to pick up the exact color on them when I cg just so I get the right clothing colors.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
