Artist's Comments

Series: Avatar: The Last Airbender

Partially inspired by some song lyrics, but mainly the scene in "Princess Mononoke" wherein San threatens to go all hacky-slashy on poor Ashitaka after he's just saved her butt. He avoids an unecessary tracheotomy by saying "You're beautiful" to her, but I don't think Zuzu-chan's smart enough to think of something like that... (~_~) (*cough*evenifhe'ssecretlythinkingit!*cough,cough!*)

If ya like the art, read the fic! -> [link]

Rant:

It's really, really, really hard drawing someone with a knife at someone else's throat, especially if said person is on top of their victim. The perception's wonky like whoa. *points to Katara's ice-dagger arm* THAT is the single element that gave me the most torture. And my imouto so graciously modelled for me, too. (*^.^*) Matter of fact, she's the one who suggested it's never a good idea to try and jab something sharp and point down at someone's trachea - slashing's much more of a sure thing.

No, I'm not preoccupied with violence... ^^;

*is utterly pleased for the Zutara, despite the fact it looks like Katara's about to kill him*

Just one thing--Katara's hair . . . isn't it supposed to be like, 5x longer? O.o

Impressive work. ^^ I can see how much hard work went into it. It shows. :clap:

Sometimes I wave at people I don't know. It's dangerous to wave at someone ya' don't know, cuz what if they don't have a hand? They'll think your cocky. "Look what I got, Mother F*cker! This thing's useful! I'm gonna go pick somethin' up!" -Mitch Hedberg

Yeah, I guess so... but if I'd had drawn it that long, it would have been so distracting... (wants Katara to start walking around with hair down, at a reasonable length) And yes, I think the, "I'm either going to kill you or kiss you" tension is fun!
